In GE turbines, the fuel oil pump, main and auxiliary hydraulic pump supply their driving force from the accessory gearbox. The accessory gearbox is a very sensitive and precise equipment that is directly connected to the turbine. In the gearbox of GE turbines, we have seen high rotational speeds and the connection of multiple consumers to the gearbox and the need to provide different revolutions for them along with the inevitable vibrations of the said equipment. Therefore, the production of gears requires compliance with strict standards, including the need to grind the gears with grade 5 or higher. In addition, very accurate bearings and installation of a very accurate and calculated lubrication system are part of the sensitivities of producing this type of gearbox.
