Repair and Reconstruction

Gear Pumps

In gear pumps, due to the very close clearance of the gears with the cylinder wall and the opposite gear, the most common damage is the wear of the cylinder wall, which is often aluminum, as well as the wear of the gear profile. In addition, aluminum seals are also subject to the most damage. Another sensitive part of this pump model is the bearings. The bearings are in the form of bushings and often from special families of aluminum. The replacement of bushings and seals is a major part of the high pressure gear pump reconstruction process.
