There are about 45 units of GE-F9 gas turbines in the country. In GE-F9 gas turbines, the main fuel oil pump is a twin screw pump made by the American company Warren. The mentioned double/twin screw pump supplies its driving power through the clutch, from the accessory gearbox of the turbine. The working pressure of the pump is at least 70 bar and its flow is about 800 liters per minute at 1550 rpm.
Special bearings, special sealing plan along with 4 mechanical seals and felt bowls, use of hearingbown gears for the timing of screws together, double-wall Casing and two-way inlet are the features of this double screw pump model. The main advantage of this double/twin screw pump model is the insensitivity to impurity with the fluid. For this reason, it is the best option for oil wells to extract two-phase fluid. The alignment of multiple pump Casing and trestles is considered one of its weak points, so that most of the damages are related to these components.
